The Mall at Steamtown is asking it’s customers and employees to help support a smoke free shopping environment by not smoking outside of the entrances to the mall. This will allow customers to enter and exit the mall free of second hand smoke. Mall management understands that the current status of the Scranton Smoking Ordinance is unknown however by doing this we are taking a proactive step to making the shopping experience at The Mall at Steamtown more enjoyable for people of all ages, most importantly our little visitors. Inside The Mall at Steamtown is a smoke free environment, currently The Ground Round offers smoking and non smoking sections to help accommodate all its patrons.

Nathan’s Famous and Arthur Treacher’s joined by Kenny Rodgers Roasters Express are now open in the Station Cafe Food Court. The opening brings back quality hambugers to The Station Cafe Food Court and adds more than ever before! The Mall at Steamtown has been a part of this community since 1993, when we started planning upgrades to the mall recently we decided to put the community needs first and foremost. With that in mind we’ve given the mall a new coat of paint so its prettier to look and and shows visitors that we are proud of our mall and our city. We’re investing in new signage, sidewalks and exterior lighting for the safety and comfort of our shoppers. Better exterior lighting is top of the list in requests from our college students. Inside we’ve added free wireless Internet access in our Station Cafe food court and soon we’ll replace the furniture in the food court for better comfort when you are here to eat or meet friends. For our families and little ones visiting we’re upgrading our family restrooms and planning a new soft play area. We’re also doing many behind the scenes things to make your shopping experiences more enjoyable. Also if there’s something we’re not doing please let us know, of course if there’s something we’re doing you like we wouldn’t mind hearing that either. Either way, we hope you enjoy shopping at the mall!
