Jim Bone and The Mall at Steamtown buried the Bone’s Time Capsule this morning outside The Mall at Steamtown, in attendance to help out The Bone was McKay, Casey and Slim from 97.9X as well as James Walsh, mayor of Steamtown as The Bone calls him (we know him as our Vice President of Property Management) and of course Scranton Mayor Chris Doherty. The capsule is set to be open on July 28, 2050 when we’ll all be a little bit older! Thanks to Bone, the gang at 97.9X and H&R Hauling for giving us a crazy morning at the mall.

Hundreds flock to see their Heroes at the Mall!

Hundreds of Marvel fans flocked to The Mall at Steamtown on Saturday to see Spider man, Wolverine, and The Thing. We’ve posted some photos of the event on the flickr feed in case you missed out on the event. As a bonus little heroes were treated to free face painting and free gifts compliments of the Lackwanna County DA’s office! The next major event at the mall will be Emily Osment who plays Lilly on Hanna Montana on August 4th!

No Question Opens at The Mall at Steamtown!

The Mall at Steamtown is proud to announce the opening today of No Question!  No Question is a unique addition to The Mall at Steamtown and the Scranton Wilkes Barre market selling urban wear and accessories including hats, shirts, pants, shorts, handbags and more for young men and women.  No Question is located on the first level of the mall in between Journey’s and Victoria Secret.

Marvel Super Heroes Head to The Mall at Steamtown!

Spider- Man, Wolverine and The Thing are all headed to The Mall at Steamtown this Saturday, June 16th!  You can catch your favorite Super Heroes from noon – 6 p.m.  Also the first 100 kids in line will recieve a FREE Superhero Matchbox Car complements of The Mall at Steamtown and a FREE Marvel Trading Card complements of Diehls Collectibles!  The appearance schedule  is as follows:

Spider-Man: 12:30 – 1:30, 2:00 – 3:00, 3:30 – 4:30, 5:00 – 6:00

Wolverine: 12 noon – 1, 1:30 – 2:30, 3:00 – 4:00, 4:30 – 5:30

Marquee Cinemas Announces 2007 Kid’s Summer Movie Series!

Starting June 19th every Tuesday and Wednesday through August 15 Marquee Cinemas at The Mall at Steamtown will offer specially selected family fims for you to enjoy for FREE!  These movies will start Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s at 10 a.m. for one showing.  Also available on these days will be a Kids Special which includes a 12 oz drink and box of popcorn for $3.00 and a Parent’s Combo which includes a small drink and small popcorn for $4.75.  The following movies will be show:  June 19th & 20th – Polar Express and Garfield; June 26th & 27th – Charlotte’s Web and Night at the Museueam; July 10th & 11th – Curious George and Over the Hedge; July 17th & 18th – Wizard of Oz and Monster House; July 24th & 25th – Clifford and Barnyard; July 31st & August 1st – Doogal and Flushed Away; August 7th & 8th – Wallace and Gromit and Open Season; August 14th & 15th – Happy Feet and Firehouse Dog.  (movies are subject to change without notice and on first come first serve basis) Enjoy!
