No not the actual set for the office (although how great would THAT be!) its a set designed by Jeff D’Angelo’s Design Group from Scranton PA. The set was done as part of Phillip Shea’s (propmaster for “the office”) visit to Scranton and the mall last week. During Phillip’s visit over 400 businesses dropped off their items in hopes of getting their names into an episode of “the office” for the upcoming 4th season! You can head down to the mall to check out the set design and if you like it give Jeff D’Angelo’s Design Group a call at 344-0727, they do theme party decorations, cartoons, murals and fun artwork! Check out the photo in the flickr feed as well, but you have to see the real thing for the full enjoyment of it!

The Mall at Steamtown and Prizm Asset Management Company in partnership Longbotham Strategic Marketing have been selected as a MAXI Finalist for the events with Office cast members Rainn Wilson, Kevin Baumgartner, and Angela Kinsey. Each year the MAXI shines its spotlight on the shopping center industry’s most innovative programs. Prizm Asset Management Company’s submission “NBC’s The Office Comes to Steamtown” was selected from thousands of entrants and focused on Rainn Wilson’s appearance at the mall in December, Brian and Angela’s appearance in May and the many office related events in between. In total these events produced over $250,000 in publicity for the The Mall at Steamtown including a feature in the episode “Women’s Appreciation”.
The MAXI is a prestigous industry award given by the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) in recongnition of marketing innovation and excellence. This year we’ll head to New Orleans, LA on October 17th when the Gold and Silver Awards will be presented.
Thank you to all who helped support these events and make sure you check back in October when hopefully we’ll be posted a MAXI award of our very own!
